At 1 Love Legacy, we believe love, resilience, and authentic connection can spark lasting transformation. Our journey began when two friends crossed paths at rock bottom—finding hope in each other through unwavering faith, encouragement, and the daily choice to stay strong through life’s storms.
From that bond came a vision: to be a light in dark places and a voice for healing, growth, and second chances. We’ve known brokenness, but we’ve also witnessed the power of restoration. Our mission is to spread love and understanding—proving that anyone can rise from their past, embrace who they truly are, and live a life rooted in purpose.
We’re passionate about breaking down barriers—especially around faith, redemption, and what it means to be whole. At 1 Love Legacy, we believe true transformation is possible, and that love can reach even the deepest wounds.

Meet the founders
Born in Russia and adopted into an American family at age three, Grant was raised in Keota, Iowa. From a young age, he excelled academically and pursued a wide range of interests—from politics, to fitness and photography businesses, and nonprofit work. Despite his success on the surface, Grant quietly struggled with identity and self-acceptance, especially growing up in a small town where he never felt safe fully being himself.
In 2022, Grant’s life took a dramatic turn when he was sentenced to nearly five years in prison. During that time, he began a journey of deep self-discovery. He learned the value of unconditional love, the power of faith, and the importance of surrounding himself with people who truly saw and accepted him. It was also there that he witnessed the brokenness of the prison system—especially the decline of religious programs that many inmates relied on for healing and hope.
Through conversations with his best friend and now co-founder, Nic, Grant realized a powerful truth: recovery from addiction and destructive behavior isn’t just about removing the negative—it’s about replacing it with something meaningful. For many, that “something” is faith. But too often, barriers keep people from reconnecting with God’s love.
At 28, Grant is driven by a deep passion to be part of the solution. Through 1 Love Legacy, he is committed to creating a movement that helps people rediscover purpose, restore their faith, and believe in redemption—no matter where they’ve been. Grant is also running for Iowa House of Representatives District 88 to try to shed light to the real issues that face Iowans.
Born in Des Moines, Iowa in 1997, Nic’s story isn’t defined by where he started—but by the moment he chose to live. After more than a decade battling addiction, homelessness, incarceration, and suicidal thoughts, he found himself at rock bottom: facing 10 felony charges and a potential 117-year sentence.
But in February 2021, everything shifted. Nic entered Adult & Teen Challenge, a Christ-centered recovery program, where he encountered God’s love in a way that transformed his life. On April 15, 2021, he made a decision that changed everything—to truly live.
That choice began a journey of faith, healing, and purpose. Over the next five years, Nic replaced fear with faith and self-hate with hope. With the support of his family and his best friend and now co-founder, Grant, he began to envision something bigger: a movement built on love, grace, and second chances.
Now sober and rooted in purpose, Nic is committed to using 1 Love Legacy to share the message that saved his life—because if love could reach him, it can reach anyone.
